Frozen waterfall climbing

Sledge dogs

The area can also be discoved with sledge-dogs. During winter holidays and weekends the sledge-dogs can be seen on a special track close to the Pré Cohadon lake, behind Hotel La CaBanne at Murat-le-Quaire.

Les Ecuries de la Dordogne in Le Mont-Dore organises the whole year round tours through the Parc des Volcans. And in wintertime you can also do a "ski joering" workshop; standing on skis a horse will pull you.
