Cross country skiing in the Auvergne

Towards the Ferme de Puy May (Guéry) In winter we often welcome cross country skiers in our accommodation. Cross country skiing is a popular activity in the Auvergne. But because of the great number of trails, it is pleasantly quiet.

The Sancy Ouest area

The Le Mont-Dore cross country trails are connected by connecting trails with the trails of Chastreix-Sancy, la Plaine Brûlée and those of La Tour d’Auvergne/La Stèle. Cross country skiers can enjoy about 250 km of cross country trails.

Lac de Guéry

At the Lac de Guéry more cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails can be found. Cross country skiing or snowshoeing with a view on the frozen lake and the eye-catching Tuilière and Sanadoire rocks.

Pessade – at 20 km of Les Camélias – has 39 km of cross country skiing trails.
